Alison Judge

Strategic Advisor

An experienced independent school placement advisor, Alison has worked in international education for more than two and a half decades.  Coming from a family of professional educators, she started as assistant guardian to 40 Japanese students at several top British boarding schools in the 1990s.  Most recently she has acted as educational consultant to a number of high-profile families from China, assisting them with applications to the UK’s most prestigious public schools, including Eton, Harrow and Winchester, and helping them with UK university choices.

Alison’s substantial teaching experience includes coaching students at elite institutions, teaching academic English at London University and leading the University of Cambridge’s first-ever Public Speaking training programme.  Since she also has first-hand experience of being an international student (at school and university in Japan), Alison brings to students and their families an in-depth and realistic understanding of their needs, as well as a wealth of expertise in the UK system. This enables her to support students in navigating through British education with confidence and success.

She speaks several European and Asian languages and has lived, studied and worked on four continents. Alison has a BA in Japanese from the School of Oriental and African Studies (London), an MSc in Social Anthropology from the London School of Economics and Political Science and, with Distinction, a Postgraduate Diploma in International Liaison and Communication, specialising in international education.
