Paul is a teacher of English as a Foreign Language with 25 years’ experience. He teaches both children and adults of all ages and levels, and he specialises in general English, exam English (Cambridge Exams, IELTS & TOEFL) as well as business to corporate clients.
Paul is able to tailor General English courses along specific guidelines. The Arts and British Culture, for example.
Paul is equally comfortable teaching groups, or 1-on-1.
While most of Paul’s experience is in teaching General English and Exam English, he can also offer help on preparing students for university. He was solely in charge of the teaching and programming of an exam class (IELTS/TOEFL) for around 15 years, so he knows both of these tests inside out. He also designed a course for this class and, more recently, has designed bespoke exam courses for individuals doing IELTS on Zoom.
As far as Business English is concerned, he was acting Director of Studies at one of the largest Business English schools in Paris during the nineties, and also has extensive experience of working in-company.
One of Paul’s greatest strengths is his ability to maximise a student’s time and help them realise their objectives quickly. His lessons are clear and the information and help given is concise. Over the course of his teaching Paul has developed a holistic approach which, during a typical lesson, takes all relevant skill areas into account and is multi-disciplined.
