Rachel Kinnear
Online English Teacher
CELTA-qualified and currently undertaking the Trinity Diploma in TESOL, Rachel is a speaking and writing Cambridge examiner and has taught all Cambridge ESOL levels of examination, from YLE Starters, Movers and Flyers to Cambridge KEY, Preliminary, First, Advanced and Proficiency exams. She has also trained students for the Cambridge IELTS examination and the Trinity Speaking examinations.
She also teaches Business English and advises clients on personal branding.
Starting her career in Japan in 2006, Rachel has travelled around the world teaching English to non-native speakers. She circumnavigated the globe with the Japanese NGO Peace Boat, delivering tailor-made lessons to passengers as she travelled through South East Asia, Southern Africa, South America and the South Pacific.
On returning to Europe she moved to Italy, where she worked at a private university in Rome before relocating to Brindisi, here taking on the role of Director of Studies in a private language school.
Now based in the UK, Rachel is currently part of a new project in Turkey, where she leads online workshops with small groups of school children, giving them a chance to use the English that they learn in class in realistic and meaningful situations.
